Automated Drive Units

Our unique automated drive unit design allows for unrestricted movement and compact design. Automated Vehicle Technology enables the drive wheel steering motor to be located above the steering plane so that no wires or interfering parts inhibit the 360 degree movement of the wheels.

The design transfers the power from the electric motor drive to the wheels through a system of gears that functions as a differential, allowing for simultaneous translational movement and directional rotation of the wheels. This design eliminates precession of the wheels while they are undergoing both of these motions, ensuring smooth operation as well as full directional control.

The automated drive units are constructed of high-quality materials, including high durometer (hardness) urethane for the wheels. This not only ensures high performance, but also provides longer life with less maintenance compared to other drive systems.
